The initiative aims to promote the mushroom sector, its gastronomy and its collection as an element with great possibilities for economic development.

The general objective of this initiative is to generate sustainable economic activities that promote and improve nature-related employment in order to stop the depopulation of rural areas of Castilla-La Mancha, especially the most depopulated areas of the region. It is a question of seeking a new business impulse that combines economic development with the preservation of environmental values.

The main recipients of the project are workers in the service sector, especially those linked to the tourism sector, restaurants and hotels, which can incorporate mycological routes, routes with a mushroom monitor, collection and recognition activities, use of mushrooms as a gastronomic element, promote active tourism activities with this theme, etc. Also workers from other sectors with an interest in acquiring training and skills related to environmental education and mycology to complement their training and give the possibility of organizing activities related to active tourism and the collection of mushrooms and natural products.
