Unique trees and forests representative of the great monumental tree heritage of Spain have been awarded in this competition, in a project promoted by the NGO Forests without Borders.

It is an initiative that consists of the organization of a contest to reward the owners of unique trees or forests, in such a way that the economic endowment of the prize allows them to carry out conservation and dissemination work of their unique tree or forest.

Each of the winners sends Trees Without Borders, within two months of the awards ceremony, a detailed report of the work to be carried out with the prize endowment, in which they must include budgets for each of them. Forests without Borders will receive the invoices corresponding to the budgets to later make the payments.
