The Fifth European Greenways Conference is organised to coincide with the Spanish presidency of the European Union and to celebrate the tenth anniversary of the Lille Declaration, promoted at the time by the European Greenways Association (ESVVA) and which marks the line of action for the promotion and development of greenways in Europe. widely disseminated in recent years.

The conference is intended as a space for meeting and exchange of experiences and good practices between political and technical leaders of European greenways, representatives of state, regional, local and community public administrations and other international organizations involved in their planning, construction, maintenance, management and promotion, as well as groups of citizens interested in their use and management companies.
