Knowing the degree of vulnerability to climate change of the municipalities of Catalonia and the Balearic Islands for specific risks and sectors was the objective of the project ‘Analysis of sectoral vulnerability to climate change in the municipalities of Catalonia and the Balearic Islands’. An initiative of Lavola that has the support of the Biodiversity Foundation, through its call for grants.

Thanks to the analysis of 25 sectoral vulnerability indicators for the 947 Catalan municipalities and 43 for the 67 municipalities of the Balearic Islands, they will be able to have a greater knowledge of their weaknesses and threats in order to accelerate and prioritize decision-making for the adoption and implementation of climate change adaptation measures at regional and local level.
