World Water Quality Control Day is a project that aims to educate, raise awareness and engage society.
World Water Quality Control Day is a project of the Association for the Defense of Water Quality (Adecagua) that aims to educate, raise awareness and involve society about the importance of achieving an optimal ecological status of Spanish rivers and call for their recovery. In addition, materials will be published to assess the ecological status of the rivers and an attempt will be made to bring the project closer to the largest number of citizens so that they can carry out basic studies to know their state. The aim is to obtain more than 500 water quality samples.
They will also try to get the largest number of volunteers and carry out environmental education activities through Adecagua educators with students in the last years of secondary or high school. A final report and an interactive map on the state of Spanish rivers will be published, based on the information collected by the volunteers.
Within the framework of this project, activities will be carried out that consist of the coordination, creation and management of sampling groups and education and dissemination work for schoolchildren.
