On November 20 and 21, 2013, the X Congress of Environmental Journalism was held in Madrid, organized by APIA under the slogan “We have a future”.

The project consisted of the celebration of the X Congress of Environmental Journalism, which took place in Madrid on November 20 and 21, 2013. A congress organized by APIA, the Association of Environmental Information Journalists, which was founded in 1994 and brings together those journalists who work in the field of environmental information throughout Spain.

Under the slogan “We have a future”, the X Congress served to analyse the present and future of the journalistic profession, specifically, environmental journalism, and to deepen the alliances that can be forged with many other groups in the search for new horizons of sustainable development.

The congress allowed attendees to learn about the real situation of environmental journalism and point out those paths that can guarantee the future of an essential informative specialty to better understand the world around us.

Since 1995 and every two years, APIA has held its congress in November, an occasion for its members, who have come from all over Spain, to meet to discuss the current situation of the profession together with other attendees at the meeting.
