The project aims to analyse the hydrogeological processes of forestry and livestock and promote local participation in the management of the SCI Sabinares de la Sierra de Cabrejas, in Soria.
The project aims to analyse the hydrogeological processes of forestry and livestock and promote local participation in the management of the SCI Sabinares de la Sierra de Cabrejas, in Soria.
The main objective is to promote the preservation of the landscape constituted by the Segura river and the orchard it irrigates, in the section that runs through the Vega Media region, in Soria, by enhancing the perceptual and environmental aspects of it and its dissemination among the population of the region.
Through this initiative it is intended to study the elements and the state of the landscape, collect old images that show the landscape impact produced by human activity in the region and promote the incorporation of the study of this landscape into the curriculum of schools. The main recipients of the action are 6th grade students.
In addition, the aesthetic, historical, and identifying aspects of the landscape are made known through the use of new information technologies, creating a permanent physical space of a recreational and informative nature for the knowledge of the landscape of the Vega Media region.
Among the specific actions planned, the following should be highlighted:
- Study of the unique elements of the landscape and analysis of the state, dynamics, trends and perception of the landscape.
- Preparation of a database of digitized documents with images of the area.
- Preparation of a guide for the teacher on the landscape and preparation of five fieldwork sheets for the students.
- Organization of guided tours with schoolchildren to an exhibition on the landscape of the area.
- Placement of a viewpoint in Los Juncos Park.
- Dissemination of the project, through the preparation of brochures, the creation of a website or through the design of information panels, etc.
