A unique space in Seville for activities related to the environment

The Biodiversity Foundation offers its headquarters in Seville, the Gateway to Biodiversity, free of charge for activities related to environmental conservation.

The Biodiversity Foundation of the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and the Environment makes its headquarters in Seville, the Gateway to Biodiversity, available to organizations, entities, administrations or companies that want to carry out activities related to environmental conservation, completely free of charge.

The facilities are located in the historic center of the city. Its doors are open to the celebration of events that have the conservation of biodiversity, adaptation to climate change or the green economy and employment as common threads. So far this year, the headquarters has been the scene of four events, including a conference aimed at environmental agents from all the autonomous communities in order to improve their skills and awaken their interest in the area, organized by the Association of Environmental Agents of Andalusia and held on March 10. and an event on PEFC forest certification in Andalusia organized by PEFC Spain on March 30.

The building, located in Patio de Banderas nº 16, is part of the Real Alcázar Asset of Cultural Interest and preserves archaeological elements of great value. It has an assembly hall of 73 square meters with capacity for 60 people and which can be accessed from the street, in addition to 90 square meters also at street level and four rooms to house different exhibitions.

In addition, during this year, visitors who come to the headquarters of the Biodiversity Foundation will be able to enjoy the exhibition “Fractals, the marshes and Doñana”, an exhibition on the fractal structures of the Andalusian marshes, including those of the Doñana National Park. The exhibition, which will remain at the venue for another year, includes a selection of the best images from the work “Fractals. Intimate Anatomy of the Marsh”, by the photographer Héctor Garrido, with more than 200 aerial images of this enclave and the harmonious forms that water and sand have shaped for centuries in Doñana.

Those organizations and companies that wish to use this space to organize their events must fill in a form and accept the instructions for use.
