We have published a new call for subsidies endowed with 5 million euros for the hiring of unemployed people in the field of the green and/or blue economy.
This call, co-financed by the European Social Fund, is part of the Empleaverde Programme, which seeks to promote sustainability and eco-innovation of economic activities in all sectors, as an opportunity to contribute to overcoming the challenges of the crisis generated by COVID-19, promoting the ecological and fair transition towards a low-carbon and circular economy.
These subsidies are aimed at entities linked, directly or indirectly, to the green and/or blue economy or entities that, not being linked, generate employment that contributes to a sustainable line of business or to the management of an environmental improvement in the entity. They will support full-time contracts for a minimum period of 6 months for unemployed people.
As a novelty, this year both private entities with or without profit and individuals who act as employers will be eligible for these grants. Both figures must be based in Spain. In addition, on this occasion the maximum amount of subsidy per job generated may reach 3,440 euros in cases where the person hired belongs to any of the priority groups (women, young people up to 35 years of age, over 45 years of age, immigrants, people with disabilities or residents of protected areas and/or rural areas) applying the percentage of co-financing of the European Social Fund corresponding to the region where the workplace is located. contracting (Extremadura, Andalusia, the Canary Islands, Castilla-La Mancha, Melilla, Murcia, Asturias, Ceuta and Galicia, 80%, the rest of the communities, 50%).
