Working groups, exhibitions and debates at CONAMA 2018

As every two years, we participate in the National Environmental Congress (CONAMA), which this year celebrates its 14th edition at the Municipal Conference Center in Madrid until November 29.

From the Foundation we are represented in different technical sessions of the official program, in the European space Conama Conecta, in the exhibition area, and at the stand of the Ministry for Ecological Transition (MITECO), which this year has its own program, under the slogan #Conversamos, and in which 15 activities will be developed with representatives of the Ministry.

We also participate in the “Marine Litter” and “Business and Biodiversity” working groups. Tomorrow we will inherit it in “Ecodesign” and “Marine Strategies”.

This edition, CONAMA has a new space, CONAMA Conecta, a dynamic environment for business exchange, the promotion of entrepreneurship and specialised training activities, in which we present the LIFE INTEMARES and MISTIC SEAS 2 projects, examples of the integration of European funds for marine conservation.

The stand of the Ministry for Ecological Transition becomes in this fourteenth edition of CONAMA a close and transparent space, a place of meeting and dialogue, in which the activities of the different units of the Ministry will take place.

This space has its own programme, #Conversamos, where participatory activities will be carried out throughout the Congress. The Biodiversity Foundation organizes four sessions in this forum. All the activity of the stand can be consulted at www.fundacion-biodiversidad.es/conama2018.

The MITECO space has a sustainable and innovative scenography built with 100% recycled, recyclable and reusable products, manufactured in Spain with certified materials. In addition, the Ministry has opted for a “zero paper” approach, dispensing with printed material, brochures, books or documents on its stand. In this way, it is not necessary to transport them and the generation of emissions in their transport is prevented.
