Extended term – Head of unit of support to Management in the Communication Area

To support the Foundation’s Management in communicating with the technical and operational areas of the Foundation, with the corresponding units of its Ministry of assignment (MITECO), and with the rest of the partners, through the organization, preparation and management of knowledge and key information on programs and projects, especially projects financed with European funds, the identification of critical challenges and the provision of the management team with the appropriate information to make the right decisions. It will involve working collaboratively with all areas of the Foundation.

  • Preparation, drafting, editing and updating of arguments, briefing notes, parliamentary replies, notes prior to management meetings, reports of results, etc.
  • Preparation of contents with a technical base and strategic vision to provide the Board of Directors and Sub-Directors with the necessary information on any issue related to the Foundation’s activities.
  • Coordination and collection of information from the areas for the preparation of notes, reports, indicators and communications related to the projects they execute.
  • Quality control over the traceability of the information managed and provided to management.
  • Updating of strategic contents of relevance to the Board of Directors and Sub-Directorates.
  • Supervision and review of notes, reports and communications to be sent from the Directorate and Sub-Directorates.
  • Tracking, control and management of shipments made. Preparation of answers and
    updates.
  • Preparation, revision or updating of contents for the interventions of the Board of Directors and Sub-Directorates in collaboration with the Communication Area.
  • Also in coordination with the Communications Area, management, drafting and follow-up of institutional materials (report, brochures).
  • Support in communications with the Board of Trustees and the Foundation’s Advisory Council, under the supervision of the Management.
  • Preparation of presentations and executive summaries of the communications prepared.
  • Participation in events and meetings.
  • Any other function entrusted by the Management/Departments.
  • University degree or equivalent in Earth Sciences (Biology, Environmental Sciences, etc.) or Engineering (Forestry, Agronomists, etc.) or in a social field such as Journalism, Political Science, etc.
  • At least 5 years of work experience.
  • At least three years of experience in information and communications management, support units or cabinets.
  • At least three years of experience in projects related to the environment, ecological transition, climate change, sustainable urban development projects, bioeconomy, circular economy or other related topics.
  • High knowledge of English (minimum C2 or equivalent).

 

In the written test and personal interview, the capacity for analysis and synthesis will be assessed,
writing and editing skills in Spanish and English, attention to detail,
strategic vision, ability to work under pressure, and results orientation and
work by objectives.

  • Temporary fixed-term contract for the execution of projects financed with European Union Funds (Fifth Additional Provision of Royal Decree-Law 32/2021), with the professional category of Head.
  • Location of the position: Fundación Biodiversidad headquarters in Madrid.
  • Gross Annual Salary: 40.458,32€.
  • Maximum planned duration: until December 2029
