Promote calls for grants and projects that promote an economy that benefits biodiversity and, at the same time, take advantage of the potential of nature as an economic engine. We work to promote and promote sustainable forest management and use, extensive livestock farming, ecological restoration and agroecological transition, with initiatives that achieve transformations of impact on the territory and contribute to the ecological transition and the recovery and maintenance of green infrastructure.

Within the framework of the National Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan, “Next Generation EU” and the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), the selected person will perform the following functions:

  • Assist in the design, planning and monitoring of actions in the area and in the supervision and organisation of the work team, mainly with regard to the economic part of the calls and budgets of the area.
  • Supervise and organise the work of the team in terms of the economic monitoring of the projects of the calls for aid and the procedures for justification, settlement and payment, establishing and controlling procedures and payments.
  • Participate in the preparation of regulatory bases, calls, models, forms, specifications and procedures that are designed as tools to promote projects and aid for the agroecological transition and sustainable territorial development, mainly in the part referring to their monitoring and economic justification.
  • Supervise and coordinate the operation of the technical assistance involved in the justification, settlement and payment processes.
  • Contribute to the reporting, preparation of reports and notes of progress, situation, indicators and results, mainly with regard to the evolution and economic reporting of the aid,
  • Support in the preparation of documentation and allegations for the General Intervention of the State Administration (IGAE), the Court of Auditors (TC) and third parties.
  • Organize and/or participate in internal and external meetings, working groups and events and deliver presentations on assigned topics and activities.
  • Contribute in the strategic definition processes and processes of improvement and better performance of the Area tasks.
  • Coordinate with the rest of the areas involved in the Foundation the correct execution of the processes and tasks of justification and payment of the grants.
  • Any other function entrusted by the Coordination, Sub-direction and/or Direction.
  • Bachelor’s degree (also former Diplomatura and Licenciatura).
  • Professional experience of at least five years in management and coordination, monitoring and economic justification of projects related to the environment.
  • Experience of at least three years in economic settlements of projects throughout all their phases.
  • Advanced English proficiency (Level B2 or higher).
  • Specific training or experience of at least two years carrying out economic monitoring in bioeconomy, nature conservation, environmental or sustainable development projects.
  • Knowledge or work in the public sector or in the Public Sector Contracts Law and the General Subsidies Law.
  • Fixed-term temporary contract for the execution of projects financed with European Union Funds (Fifth Additional Provision of Royal Decree-Law 32/2021), with the professional category of HEAD.
  • Gross Annual Salary: €42,712.87.
  • Maximum expected duration: until December 2029.
  • Job location: Fundación Biodiversidad headquarters in Madrid.
