GENERAL OBJECTIVE
To train workers in the construction sector in sustainable techniques with wood, promoting low-energy buildings and promoting green employment in rural areas of Galicia.
SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES
To train operators in the wood and construction sectors in the manufacture, assembly and execution of industrialized construction systems in wood, including light framing, cross-laminated timber (CLT) panels, coatings and insulation solutions.
To know the characteristics, performance and applications of the materials and products used in wood construction, with special attention to locally produced materials.
Know the complementary construction systems (foundations, finishes, insulation, cladding, carpentry, etc.) for construction with CLT and in wooden buildings with high energy standards.
The methodology combines face-to-face and online training through hybrid courses of 55 hours (40 face-to-face and 15 online), also incorporating transversal content on equal opportunities, soft skills and principles of the New European Bauhaus. Through eminently practical training, aligned with the real needs of companies, the project will contribute to reducing existing capacity gaps, favouring the incorporation of new professionals into the sector, improving the competitiveness of SMEs and promoting the adoption of sustainable construction solutions based on renewable and locally sourced materials, thus strengthening the entire value chain of wood construction.
