OBJECTIVE: The objective of the project is to promote the creation of green jobs in rural areas, related to the agricultural sector, contributing to the professionalization and diversification of alternative crops, establishing strategies to optimize their profitability.

DESCRIPTION: Aromatic, spice and medicinal plants have experienced a boom in demand, to such an extent that a market with particular characteristics has been created. If given the necessary importance and attention, a new productive line could be created with great market potential and the possibility of generating significant income, with the resulting boost to employment. The project will be developed in rural areas and will be aimed at anyone interested (unemployed) in working in this sector. It is structured in three phases:

Theoretical training in the classroom and online through an e-learning platform, on cultivation, production and sustainable processing of aromatic and medicinal plants.

2. Creation of experimental plots. Practical training in experimental plots on cultivation techniques, production and processing of aromatic and medicinal plants.

3.Elaboration of:

a. Job search strategies and CV preparation.

b. Feasibility studies of the plots of land for unemployed people who request it. Study of the agro-climatic and edaphological characteristics of the area.

The workshops will be led by a professional monitor who will supervise the activities. At the end of the project, each recipient who requests it will have a personalized business plan, or a job search strategy and an updated CV. All field practices will be videotaped, to be used as an audiovisual resource in the FD courses.
