The CBRP project is presented in response to the following needs:

  • Adequately cover the physical and psychological well-being requirements of confiscated Neotropical primates
  • To have more space to house future confiscated individuals in the face of the scarcity of adapted centers specialized in the rehabilitation and conservation of primates in our country
  • To have the necessary means and specific space to carry out awareness-raising activities for society, aimed at reducing the demand for endangered wild animals from illegal trafficking and poaching.

Some of the actions included in this project are:

  • Increase in space by species.
  • Increase in the number of stays per group.
  • Increase in light intensity.
  • Noise isolation and reduction.
  • Thermal insulation.
