Design of an integrated mechanical and chemical recycling treatment plant for the recovery of Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) destined for landfill

PRTR Call for Proposals Project

The mechanical and chemical recycling of municipal solid waste (MSW) project focuses on valorizing the mixed fraction of plastic waste, preventing it from ending up in landfills or incineration. With a capacity to process 25,000 tonnes per year, the plant uses advanced technologies, such as machine vision sorting and chemical recycling through pyrolysis, to maximise plastic recovery. Through deodorization and upcycling, high-quality recycled plastics are produced, contributing to the circular economy and reducing the use of virgin raw materials.
