Establishment of the bases for the generation of knowledge of the Deep Ecosystems of the Cantabrian Sea (EPROCAN)

PRTR Call for Proposals Project

Deep marine ecosystems are extensive ecosystems with high biodiversity. Unfortunately, scientific knowledge about these ecosystems is limited.
The objective of this project is the development of a prospecting and research strategy to obtain information to assess conservation needs, which will be carried out with the collection of scientific studies and the identification of knowledge gaps and research priorities, and necessary technologies.
The information will be relevant for management and research promotion bodies to propose initiatives aimed at addressing the study of deep ecosystems for their conservation and effective management.
