PRTR Call for Proposals Project
This project aims to reduce the use of plastic in SCHREIBER FOODS packaging by replacing PET with dye with transparent PET, improving its recyclability and decreasing the carbon footprint. The aim is to develop lighter and 100% recyclable bottles without compromising their properties. To this end, the technical specifications of the new PET will be investigated and it will be ensured that the design is viable in the current industrial process, reducing the weight of the packaging and promoting the circular economy.

€111,408.21The general objective of the project is to develop and validate new, more sustainable liquid yogurt containers, achieving a significant reduction in the environmental impact associated with its manufacture. The entity seeks to implement four solutions:
- Replacement of opaque white PET preforms with transparent ones, increasing their recyclability;
- Weight reduction of 1 kg and 1.5 kg packages;
- Use of recycled PET for the manufacture of new packaging;
- Recycling of post-industrial PET waste, reusing it as a raw material for new preforms.
