Investment in new SLS industrial additive manufacturing equipment with great impact on reducing the rate of virgin raw material

PRTR Call for Proposals Project

The vast majority of industrial 3D printing equipment operates predominantly with virgin plastics, contributing to the continuous extraction of natural resources and the accumulation of plastic waste. The main objective of the project is to invest in a new additive manufacturing machine capable of using 80% recycled plastic material, maintaining in any case the production capacities of current machines and without compromising either the quality or the mechanical properties of the product, drastically reducing dependence on virgin plastics.

The main objective of this project is the reduction of virgin plastic used in additive manufacturing (3D) processes in industrial applications, as well as the reduction of waste generated in these processes thanks to the incorporation of a greater proportion of recycled material.

To this end, the investment will consist of the acquisition of the Farsoon Flight SS403P model, an industrial machine with SLS (Selective Laser Sintering) technology that will be capable of using up to 80% recycled material.
