PRTR Call for Proposals Project

The project proposes the replacement of a single-layer extrusion line with a three-layer line for the manufacture of polyethylene containers. This technology will allow the incorporation of recycled materials in the intermediate or outer layers of the packaging, maintaining an inner layer of virgin material in contact with the packaged product, reducing the consumption of virgin raw materials, promoting the use of recycled materials without compromising the quality or functional properties of the product, and contributing to the circular economy.

The general objective of the project is to implement a three-layer blown extrusion line to introduce recycled materials in the production of polyethylene containers, thus reducing the consumption of virgin plastic raw materials. This incorporation of recycled materials from third parties in the manufacture of packaging will be done without compromising their mechanical or aesthetic properties, thus reducing dependence on virgin plastics.

From a scientific-technological point of view, it is intended to:

  1. Implement three-layer technology to optimize the integration of recycled materials.
  2. Ensure the quality of the final product by using inner layers of virgin material.
  3. Improve the efficiency of the production process in terms of sustainability and waste reduction.
