RENAT3R proposes the design of a municipal strategy to carry out the ecological restoration and minimisation of the risk of flooding of all the river courses of the municipality of El Vendrell as they pass through urban land, as well as the execution of this strategy in a significant part of this river network. It pursues a double objective: to renature the landscape and improve the urban river ecosystem in the Bisbal stream and the Lluc and Culleré torrents as they pass through the urban area of El Vendrell through the execution of hydro-geomorphological and ecological restoration projects. The project will reduce the risk and vulnerability to flooding in these areas thanks to the naturalisation of river sections, the reservation of lamination spaces, the spatial planning of uses and activities when appropriate in areas of overflow and the promotion of a peri-fluvial public use consistent with the spatial scheme of hydraulic risk on urban land.

Some of the actions included in this project are:

• PREPARATION of the SPECIAL urban PLAN for the delimitation, management of uses and ecological and landscape recovery of the river space of the El Vendrell torrents (Special Plan for Blue Spaces).
• DRAFTING of the EXECUTIVE PROJECT for “Renaturalisation of the Bisbal stream and the Lluc and Culleré torrents as they pass through the urban area of the municipality of El Vendrell”.
• EXECUTION of the RENATURATION WORKS of the Bisbal stream and the Lluc and Culleré torrents as they pass through the urban area of the municipality of El Vendrell.
• MAINTENANCE of the Renaturation actions of the Bisbal stream and the Lluc and Culleré torrents as they pass through the urban area of the municipality of El Vendrell.
