Research and formulation of PVC profiles for construction using recycled or waste-based composites

PRTR Call for Proposals Project

This project aims to investigate a new formulation for the construction profiles manufactured by La Viuda, seeking to improve their sustainability. Recycled PVC and a Bio PVC obtained from ethylene generated by waste from the paper industry will be used, replacing conventional virgin PVC. In addition, new natural and waste additions, such as lubricants and mineral fillers, will be studied instead of the usual synthetic ones, thus contributing to the circular economy by reducing virgin raw material and reducing waste.
