Upgrade existing facilities to increase and optimize the sourcing of high-quality recycled material and reduce microplastic contamination

PRTR Call for Proposals Project

The improvement of the washing line guarantees superior cleaning of the material, increasing its applicability in new products and minimizing the generation of organic contaminants. The addition of the in-line flake analyzer provides more accurate quality control, allowing quality deviations to be identified early. The installation of intermediate and dispatch silos directly addresses the problem of the unintentional release of microplastics, as well as the reduction of packaging consumption during the production and dispatch of pellets to our customers.

The objective of this project is to optimize the PET recycling line to increase its presence in food products, reducing the need to use virgin plastic.

To carry it out, the project seeks to improve its current recycling line through the implementation of a washing line with water reuse systems, the integration of a flake analyzer to avoid the production of non-compliant material and the installation of a silo system that optimizes storage. thus avoiding the unintentional release of microplastics.
