This is the first phase of the project, whose main objective is to restore a section of the Betzuca torrent, in the Barcelona town of Sant Quirze del Vallès, guaranteeing its ecological, hydraulic and landscape function and taking advantage of the possibilities it offers as a recreational space.

This recovery will be done through technical work, for which environmental volunteering will be promoted in the area.

The specific actions planned are the following:

• Management of native and non-native vegetation.
• Planting of riverside vegetation.
• Slope stabilization using bioengineering techniques.
• Creation of nuclei of helophytic vegetation.
• Fieldwork, courses and tours with environmental volunteering.
