The LAB-MAR project will be developed in the territorial area of Galicia and Andalusia, focusing on reducing marine litter, promoting collaboration between the fishing and shellfish sector and other business and social sectors, promoting innovation and the creation of inclusive employment and contributing towards a circular and blue economy. To this end, the execution of actions such as the organization of marine litter collection days in protected areas of the Galician and Andalusian coast with the involvement of agents of society and the fishing and shellfish sector is contemplated; the creation of a technical committee and a laboratory of ideas for the development of tools for the fishing sector from the recovery of marine litter; the formation of an inclusive school for the promotion of the recycling and recovery of marine litter and the development of an information and awareness campaign for the prevention of waste and the protection of natural spaces.
